Kane Security Analyst Version 4.5 for Windows NT and Novell NetWare The
Kane Security Analyst software is a network assessment tool that is
intended to help companies define and measure the security effectiveness
of Windows NT and NetWare installations based on specific, "best practice"
security policies and objectives. It is designed to provide a fast,
thorough and reliable analysis of network security and report exposures in
six critical areas, including user account restrictions, password
strength, access controls, system monitoring, data integrity and data
confidentiality. The new versions of Kane Security Analyst feature a
range of enhancements and new functionality that increase their
effectiveness and efficiency. Highlights include:
-- Year 2000 Compliance -- The new versions of Kane Security Analyst have
been tested within the stringent Year 2000 specification parameters
prepared by the British Standards Institution, committee BDD/1/-/3, to
achieve Y2K compliance.

reports and significant reporting enhancements designed to make it easier
for customers to create reports for their organizations. Additionally, the

address identification capabilities that are intended to allow users to
trace attacks back to their origin.
