Interesting that they don't mention any of the folks who do the intruding.
Have you heard about this?
RAID'98 is the first in an anticipated annual series of international
workshops that will bring together leading figures from academia,
government, and industry to ponder the current state of intrusion
detection1 technologies and paradigms from the research and commercial
perspectives. Its aim is to further progress in intrusion detection by
promoting the exchange of ideas among researchers, system developers, and
users and by encouraging links between these groups.
It seems the "...current state..." is that it security is pretty weak, and
most co's don't even consider the topic. "Never criticize a man until you
have walked a mile in his shoes. That way, when you do, you will be a
mile away, and you will have his shoes."
