Slippady, slidy, to hell with the Constitution! What we need in this
country is martial law, disregard for all form of civil liberty. And you
gun owners, sorry you're all criminals. Only people who can have guns are
federal employees. Cripes Almighty! Since when does that fool Hamry get to
interpret the Constitution? Hell we've got the CIA who is strictly
forbidden from getting involved in domestic issues controlling crypto,
monitoring domestic stuff etc. The FBI, local police and the courts are
"inefficient" much better to shoot the perpetrators and ask questions
later. I mean, if we didn't stop them right then and there, the 'criminal'
might have taken out a power grid, or planted a logic bomb, or passed his
code onto a buddy, or ...

C3I has got to have some people with brains in their ranks (it's not
possible to get 100% fools right?) and no offense to them but what I've had
to deal with from C3I is total and complete moronity (yes, I made that up).

Oh me, oh my. Would the Defense Department kindly throw that 10 million
into purhaps training the boobs who run DoD's own computing infrastructure?
No one has written a decent NT paper to date (among the services) and
security clues no matter the OS are so incredibly lacking it's not even
funny. Heck throw $100k/yr to the BCOT (Basic Comm Officer Training) school
so that these freshout 2nd LT's might have a fighting chance of running a
computer half way intelligently. [BCOT is a 4 month long 'school' that
doesn't teach squat. And the USAF thinks anyone who's had 1 CS class in
collage is a computer science geek who knows enough to run a computer. HA!]
Something positive might actually result from the 10 million if they sent
hundreds of Computer specialists to CISSP training.
In the Pentagon, there are all kinds of dialup links that are not supposed
to exist. It drives SAM security people nuts cause it doesn't matter if
they monitor traffic thru their routers, there are a dozen other ways to
circumvent them. And some of these modems are hooked up to SECRET boxes. By
mistake I'm sure. It's the old engineer wanted to access his box from home
trick.
