Internet Tools Introduces ID-Trak: An Advanced Intrusion Detection System
Based on Stateful Dynamic Signature Inspection (SDSI) Technology

FREMONT, Calif., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Internet Tools, Inc. a leading
developer of network security software today announced the availability of
ID-Trak; an advanced real-time network-based intrusion detection system
employing Stateful Dynamic Signature Inspection (SDSI) Technology.

ID-Trak offers 24x7 monitoring of mission-critical network resources for
internal or external security breaches and attacks. ``Being an ISP, we
have a responsibility to provide security to our enterprise customers, our
web-hosting service customers and to our own network resources. We are
also responsible to make sure that our on-line users do not generate
Internet attacks while using our service.

Since GeoNet has invested heavily in building a high-speed backbone, the
security monitoring has to occur at the wire speed,'' Says Bill McCauley,
Director of Network Engineering at GeoNet, ranked the #1 price/performance
value provider for T-1 Internet access in Northern California.

``ID-Trak allows us to monitor well-known Internet attack signatures at
near-wire speed no matter whether attacks come from dial-in users,
Internet, corporate customers or even internal users. This allows us to
ensure that we complete our security responsibility to our customers.''

``The sophisticated feature set of ID-Trak provides a backup to our
conventional Internet firewall. This allows us to protect member
information through customized attack signatures identifying potential
theft of data and malicious alteration of our web-site,'' said Brian
Robertson, CTO and co-founder of PlanetAll, an on-line Internet service
which allows members to keep up-to-date with the people and groups they
care about. ID-Trak helps ensure that Denial-of-Service attacks and
hacking of the web-site is quickly identified and stopped, without
imposing any slowdown on member access
